Con el estreno del nuevo filme “Jurassic World 3: Dominion”, que viene a ser la sexta de la saga, los fans de los dinosaurios se encontraron con varias sorpresas.
Es cierto que los velociraptors sobre todo “Blue” uno de los domesticados por Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) son los estrellas de la película, junto con los gigantes Alosaurio, Quetzalcoatlus y el Indominus Rex, entre otros.
Los fans se emocionaron con la aparición en un pasaje nevado, con sus plumas rojizas y su rugido feroz.
El Pyroraptor olympius, también conocido como “ladrón de fuego” debido a su restos fueron encontrados luego de un incendio forestal, es un tipo de velociraptor con plumas, de 1.6 metros de largo por .6 de alto, con un peso aproximado de 30 kilos.
Claro que esto es Hollywood y habría que darle otras habilidades al reptil como meterse a un lago helado y asechar a sus personajes Owen Grady y Kayla Watts (DeWanda Wise).
Pero las cinco anteriores películas no habían presentado a un velociraptor emplumado, pero eso no importó en la trama, salvo mostrar nuevas especímenes en la saga.
Este habitó a finales del período Cretácico hace cerca de 77 y 69 millones de años, en el Maastrichtiense, en lo que es conocido como Europa.

The amazing feathered velociraptor

The Pyroraptor Olympus, also known as “fire thief” due to its remains being found after a forest fire, is a type of velociraptor with feathers, 1.6 meters long by .6 high, weighing approximately 30 kilos.
