Desde que empezó la pandemia, se ha comprobado que el Covid-19 también puede provocar conjuntivitis, dependiendo de la forma en la que el afectado se haya infectado.
Se trata de una forma de infección no tan común, según los hábitos de higiene de la persona, es el uso de lentes de contacto, si no se tiene el cuidado necesario con los lentes, se pueden introducir bacterias en el ojo y dar pie a la infección.
De tener la higiene necesaria, también puede ser que la infección se dé si se llega a irritar el ojo al momento de colocar los lentes.
La conjuntivitis es una infección en la membrana conjuntiva, que provoca enrojecimiento e inflamación en el ojo.
Las razones más comunes de la conjuntivitis suelen ser infecciones virales, bacterianas, o simples reacciones alérgicas.
Los síntomas son enrojecimiento en uno o en ambos ojos, picazón, sensación arenosa en el ojo afectado, secreción en el ojo afectado y lagrimeo.
