En esta época de aislamiento en casa por el Coronavirus, la falta de movilidad y permanecer más de cuatro horas continuas de pie o sentado, puede traerle molestias.
Además el escaso o nulo consumo de fibra, la baja ingesta de líquidos, el periodo menstrual, los partos prolongados, la obesidad y el estreñimiento son factores que propician la enfermedad hemorroidal.
Para evitar este padecimiento, se recomienda consumir una dieta rica en fibra, frutas y vegetales, así como reducir la ingesta de alimentos que contengan harinas y carbohidratos, debido a que son nocivos para la digestión.
Es importante también, tomar al menos dos litros de agua al día y realizar ejercicio constante en casa para combatir la inactividad y el sobrepeso.
Las hemorroides son venas que se encuentran en el ano y, debido a las razones antes mencionadas, como la vida sedentaria y una mala alimentación, pueden inflamarse y aumentar de volumen, y ocasionar la enfermedad hemorroidal.
La doctora Araceli Magdalena García Hernández explicó que los síntomas que presentan las personas con este padecimiento son: sangrado al momento de evacuar, prurito o comezón, aumento en el volumen de las hemorroides y salida del paquete hemorroidal.
Ante la recomendación de quedarse en casa, comentó que es muy importante tomar todas las medidas de prevención para evitar síntomas y molestias durante el tiempo que resta para regresar a la nueva normalidad.
“El momento es idóneo para habituarse a una dieta balanceada que incluya media taza de cereales como trigo y salvado; diversas leguminosas entre las que estén frijoles, lentejas, garbanzos, además de almendras, así como tomar dos litros de agua, que es fundamental para prevenir la enfermedad hemorroidal”, recomendó la directora de la Unidad de Medicina Familiar (UMF) No. 33 del IMSS.
Enfatizó que es necesario modificar los hábitos alimenticios y consumir 30 gramos de fibra todos los días, por lo que es importante complementar la alimentación con frutas y verduras como lechuga, pepino, plátano, fresa y papaya.
