Las pruebas para detectar el Covid-19 ya pueden realizarse en Reynosa, en los Laboratorios Eloisa.
“Hay tres tipos que pueden hacerse para detectar el Coronavirus”, expresó Eloisa Quintanilla, directora.
Señaló que primero está la PCR (por sus siglas en inglés de Reacción en Cadena de la Polimerasa) es la más confiable, se realiza con una extracción nasofaríngea y es una prueba molecular que detecta el material genético del virus.
“Esta prueba detecta la presencia del virus al momento de la toma y puede tardar de 24 a 72 horas el resultado”, indicó.
La PCR en tiempo real sirve para comprender su desarrollo y propagación, ya que los virus solo están presentes en el organismo durante un periodo determinado.
El test rápido de antígenos, es de máxima fiabilidad en los primeros 7 días de la infección. Se detecta al momento de la toma por hisopo en 15 minutos, busca proteínas específicas en la superficie del virus.
Quintanilla comentó que el test anticuerpos se realiza con una prueba de sangre, para saber si la enfermedad ya ha pasado y se generaron los anticuerpos. Los resultados se entregan el mismo día.
